At The Heights Specialty Care, we are dedicated to providing compassionate,
high-quality care in a comfortable and home-like environment. Owned and
operated by Alison Dunca, Registered Nurse, and Daniel Dunca, Respiratory
Therapist, The Heights is an extension of our calling to care – bringing
together years of medical experience and a commitment to resident well-
being.

Located just minutes from downtown Vancouver and a short drive over the
bridge into Portland. Our home features comfortable private rooms with en-
suite bathrooms, TVs with streaming services, and inviting community
spaces – including a cozy living room and a peaceful outdoor courtyard.
Alison first started working as a CNA in 2014 before graduating with her
Bachelor’s in Nursing in 2019. She has experience working in Neurology at
OHSU along with long term care settings. Daniel has worked as a
Respiratory Therapist since 2010, including over 11 years at Providence
hospitals in the Portland area. With a strong foundation in both nursing and
respiratory care, our team is uniquely equipped to support residents with a
wide range of health needs —from assistance with activities of daily living
and chronic condition management to more specialized long-term medical
support. We prioritize safety, dignity, and personalized attention, ensuring
each resident receives the highest standard of care.

Our mission is to create a warm home where residents can thrive physically,
emotionally, and socially — allowing families to rest easy knowing their
loved ones are truly cared for.
