Service Levels & Care Details

The monthly rate is determined by the level of care needed for each resident, the expertise and amount of staff time required to provide that care, and the specific private room assigned. Our homes are licensed by the State of Washington as an adult family home and provide in-home health care. Direct care is given by a live-in resident manager and/or on-site staff 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Residents are expected to maintain normal night-time sleeping hours.

Services start at $4,750/month and depend on the level of care needed. Your specific care plan will be negotiated prior to any start of services.

Independent Living

This is a truly independent level of living. The residents only need a place to live with meals and laundry services provided.

Attended Independence

Residents who are ambulatory, continent, frail and elderly but are oriented to date, time and place are characteristic of this category.  These individuals are fairly independent and have no significant medical problems but may need assistance with medication reminder, nutrition, hygiene and some supervision.  Services include distribution of medication and monitoring for general health and well-being.  Special diets, as ordered by the resident’s physician, are also included: low sodium, low cholesterol and high fiber.

Helpful Assistance

Residents in this category have moderate health and some ambulatory problems, including wheelchair and use of walkers with assistance.  Example are people who may have memory and orientation deficiencies early-stage dementia or Alzheimer disease and occasional (less than three episodes per week) incontinence issues.  They should be able to perform some self-care but may require reminding or occasional assistance.  Services include assistance with bathing supervision of hygiene and grooming, nutritional intake and some incontinence management.

Intensive Assistance & Total Care

1. Extended Care includes residents with incontinence of both bowel and bladder, more assistance is needed in eating, bathing, toileting and transfer, and more advanced dementia and Alzheimer disease residents.

2. Intensive Care includes care for catheterization, dressing changes, non-insulin dependent diabetics, residents receiving dialysis, and other health needs requiring the services of a Registered Nurse or LPN. Also included at this level are residents requiring special diets.

3. Total Care includes heavy care needs as total feeding (food supplements- Ensure), pureed diets, tube feedings, or bedridden residents. Also included in this level are residents who need two-person assist, Hoyer lifts, have behavior issues or extra staff time.

Hospice Care

Clients who are facing life-threatening illness without a cure are included in this category.  Hospice provides for the special needs of dying with an emphasis on pain management to allow the client to live each day as fully as possible.  The hospice program carries out doctor’s orders by skilled and compassionate caregivers utilizing pain control and comfort.  Hospice care works with family, friends, relatives, responsible parties and professional medical personnel in the adult family home.  Hospice care that requires extra staff will be charged to resident.
