Commitment, Compassion and Dedication are three terms we often use to describe the level of care we provide at Nataly’s Adult Family Home.  Whatever the condition of our residents; Physically, emotionally or mentally, our caregivers strive to provide the same level of honor, respect and care that you would provide to your loved ones. As residents embark upon the latter years of life, it is imperative to us that they are treated with warmth, kindness and never wavering dignity.  We recognize that you would have it no other way, and honestly, neither would we.

We provide a broad range of comprehensive senior care services, from the most basic assisted living services to memory care, hospice care and more. Our environment is one in which we take great pride as we continually aim to go above and beyond all the expectations of our residents and their loves ones.

Set in a serene and beautiful area of Vancouver, Washington, Nataly’s Adult Family Home is more than just our name. It truly is just what the name says:  Home.

Welcome to Nataly’s. Welcome Home.

Our warm and inviting home is a spacious and comfortable 5,800 square feet, boasting a private, serene setting that is beautifully enveloped by picturesque surroundings and lush pine trees. With the safety care and comfort of our residents being top-priority, our facility is equipped with 24-hour surveillance and secured iron gates that open at 9:00am and close at nightly at 9pm.

Caregivers

  • Our professional staff consists of 4 caregivers
  • CNA or Nurse in the home 24/7
  • We contract with a home health service which provides on-call doctors and nurses 24/7
  • We also provide a G-Tube Specialist who is on-call 24/7

Room Features

We respect the privacy and individual needs of every resident.  You will find an array of every day conveniences well-appointed and easily accessible by all residents, 24 days a week, 365 days per year.  The following is a breakdown of our rooms, amenities and facilities:

  • 5 Private Rooms
  • All rooms are equipped with cable television
  • Daily Laundry
    • Clothes, bedding and towels are washed every day

Location & Transportation

Nataly’s Adult Family Home is under contract with 4 different transportation companies, each offering transportation options to meet the various needs of our residents.  Nataly and the staff will be available to make trips to various stores for personal supplies and/or other requests of our residents.

For medical appointments, transportation will be provided or families are always welcome to personally transport their loved ones to medical appointments and/or shopping if they so desire.

The Perfect Location

Convenience is everything for us, our residents and their families. Nataly’s Adult Family Home is located in beautiful Vancouver, Washington with numerous shopping and dining options very close by. In many cases, these options are a mere 1 or 2 miles from our facility! This includes grocery shopping, banking and many other conveniences to which residents and their families might want access.

The Vancouver Mall, with a plethora of shopping and dining options is also in close proximity and just 4.5 miles from our facility. The Fire Department is also less than one mile away, and the nearest hospital is roughly 10 miles away.

Flying in or out of town? The Portland International Airport is just 12.5 miles from our home and usually a quick 20-minute drive via Interstate 205.

Types of Care

Our entire staff is 100% committed to the comfort and care of every resident, regardless of his/her specific neeeds.  Whether it be closer supervision, medication monitoring and management or specialized g-tube feeding, the staff and specialists at Nataly’s possess all the skills and professional experience to provide ongoing comfort and care, while alleviating the burden and concerns of our residents’ loved ones.

Assisted Living

Assisted living is for residents who require a bit more care and assistance of a skilled nurse. Our assisted living residents typically have their own room.

Alzheimer’s Care

Residents need extra care and medication management and will eventually require 24-hour supervised care in catered settings.

Memory & Dementia Care

Residents need catered care because of the need for medication mangement, and typically need extra attention in a secure setting.

G-Tube Feeding

This is a tube that is inserted through the abdomen that delivers nutrition directly to the stomach since that may be the only way to get nutrition for the patient.  Nataly is specially trained for this and has a Dr. on call who special trained in G-tube feeding.

Nursing Care

Provides the residents with basic procedures or medications that helps patients manage pain and provide them comfort.

Hospice Care

We provide supportive care to people in the final phase of a terminal illness and focus on comfort and quality of life. The goal is to keep our patients comfortable and free of pain, so that they live each day as fully as possible.

Palliative Care

Palliative care is considered care that is essentially one step prior to hospice care. This is specialized medical care for people with serious illness. They focus on medication management and help to improve quality of life for the patient.

DDA

They work with the Development Disabilities Association if they do have a resident in their home who needs that. They don’t have that often. She didn’t say much about it but if they did have a patient it would be the DDA who would put together a care plan for that individual.

Meals & Nutrition

Frequency of Meals

Residents receive 3 complete, delicious and nutritious homemade meals on a daily basis, and can choose from a full and varying menu.  Our residents always have input as to their preferred meals as Nataly will often speak to each individual about their preferences for a particular day.

  • Breakfast is served daily at 8:30am
  • Lunch is served daily at noon
  • Dinner is served daily at 5:00pm
  • Snacks available any time!

We pay special attention to the medication needs of our residents, and with these set meal times, residents are assured of receiving their medication as prescribed each and every day.

Nutritional Considerations and Special Needs

When it comes to meals, we cater to all special needs.  We work with doctors and medical specialists when required and if requested.  Examples of conditions requiring special diets include, but are not limited to:

  • Heart Special Diets
  • Diabetes Needs and Requirements
  • Digestive Problems requiring special attention
  • Soft Food Diets
  • and more

Nataly’s Family Home Events

Maintaining a level of entertainment and enjoyment is paramount for aging seniors, and there is always plenty going on at Nataly’s Adult Family Home.  At least once per week, there is some form of entertainment and/or therapeutic activity scheduled for our residents.

Parties

Aside from typical holiday festivities and celebrations, Nataly celebrates every resident’s birthday and all holidays with gifts, food and drink. Families are always invited as Nataly provides everything to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of residents and their families.

Performers

Nataly brings in various performers through the year to ensure that our residents maintain a high level or enjoyment while keeping them engaged and positively stimulated.  For Music Therapy, we often employ the services of Upbeat Music Therapy, and our newest performers Lori Ann and Wayne Davisson who provide music for all occasions; featuring violin, accordian, piano and organ.

Music Therapy

Did you know that music therapy is effective in addressing physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals?  As they say, music soothes the soul, and is certainly a welcomed event in our home.  An enjoyable time is had by all whenever a musical event or musical therapy is scheduled.

Art Therapy

Like many forms of effective expression, art therapy is actually a form of psychotherapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawing or modeling.  Art Therapy is also used as a remedial activity or an aid to diagnosis. Garden Therapy

Positive experiences, regardless of the activity, is so important to the human existence and this applies to all individuals, not only seniors. Horticultural, or Garden Therapy is actually a time-proven practice.  Its many therapeutic benefits have been very well documented not only for years, but actually for centuries! It has been effective in treating and working with people including war veterans, and individuals from all walks of life.  Garden Therapy is widely used within a broad range of rehabilitative, vocational, and community settings.
