The Village Memory Care specializes in the care of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We offer the best in care, wellness programs, and social activities in a family atmosphere to create a community you and your loved one will love calling home.

Memory Care Program

A senior care program designed to meet evolving memory care needs, incorporating the latest advances in building design and care philosophies, The Village Memory Care was created in a way that minimizes the impact of symptoms on our residents, allowing them to live securely and comfortably. We focus on your loved one’s physical and emotional health.

Our individualized care process begins with a personal assessment of a potential resident’s needs prior to move in. Residents, family members, and The Village Memory Care team work together to develop an individually-tailored care plan. The program is designed to meet the changing care needs of those experiencing the beginning symptoms of memory loss to the more intensive care needs of those in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Personal Care Services

Our goal at The Village Memory Care is to meet each resident’s needs while maintaining the highest level of choice, dignity, privacy, respect, and individuality. To assure that this is done effectively, a personal assessment is conducted prior to move-in. Residents, family members and The Village Memory Care staff work together to develop an individually tailored service plan.

• Daily assistance with hygiene, dressing, and bathing

Hospice Care

Hospice Care is a form of specialized and individualized care that is designed to provide residents and their family members support as they experience the symptoms of an advanced illness. The Village Memory Care recognizes the importance of quality Hospice Care for our residents and family members. We work closely with reputable hospice agencies to provide a compassionate, patient-centered approach to enhance the quality of life. Our Hospice Care providers focus on maintaining dignity and providing comfort which may include pain and symptom management.

Respite Care

Get some well-deserved time for yourself, with the peace of mind of knowing that your loved one’s personal care needs are covered. Even the most compassionate caregivers can benefit from extra support. Our Tacoma respite care services allow you to give your best to your senior family member. The change in stimulation and variety can also be beneficial for your loved one.

In a nutshell, respite care is simply short-term senior care. Your loved one will receive the same great services as a permanent assisted living or memory care resident, but without the long-term commitment.

Pet Policy

Your pets are like family here. Small dog breeds, cats, and birds are welcome at The Village Senior Living with the approval of our Executive Director. The pet fee is $750. Residents must be able to care for their pet (pets are not allowed in memory care) and pets must be well-behaved, house trained, spayed or neutered, and have a recent veterinarian statement of good health.
