Kin On provides healthcare solutions and aging services for Asian elders and their families. We take a true whole-team approach to helping our Asian community age well at home or thrive in our residences by offering a culturally sensitive continuum of care. If Kin On doesn’t offer a solution, our team will work with you to find one.
Residential Living Options
An aging-friendly campus offers older adults and their families a wide variety of housing options to consider depending on the person’s health status, mobility, and need for medical care. Kin On’s residential living options offer affordable and culturally sensitive services to Asian elders.
Assisted Living Apartments
Located conveniently adjacent to Kin On’s Community Center and Rehab & Care Center, our assisted living apartments offer a beautiful residential environment with access to dining, help services, and wellness programs. These apartments are designed to accommodate aging residents with special amenities, such as easy-access bathtubs, support bars, and state-of-the-art design features that make mobility safer and easier.
Services included:
- Communication and coordination in your language, including translation services with the medical community.
- Housekeeping and bed-making.
- All utilities and wireless Internet.
- Meals provided in collaboration with Kin On.
- Health and wellness programs via the Community Center’s Healthy Living Program.
- Fully monitored fire/smoke/heat detection and sprinkler systems.
- 24-hour emergency call and response systems.
- On-site security.
Ark & Winnie Chin Legacy Home
The Ark & Winnie Chin Legacy Home is a comfortable, intimate residential setting perfect for people who prefer a homelike environment. This smaller setting provides personalized care to meet physical and emotional needs. Our staff members speak multiple Chinese dialects and other Asian languages to help residents feel at home. Residents share common activities and home-cooked meals like a family.
Rehab & Care Center
The Kin On Rehab & Care Center is a community-based, not-for-profit skilled nursing location licensed by the State of Washington and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Since 1985, we have specialized in serving the long-term healthcare needs of Asian elders and disabled adults with chronic conditions, creating an environment where residents feel understood and cared for.

- Rehabilitative services (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies)
- Enteral feeding program
- IV and oxygen therapies
- Comfort care
- Culturally oriented and special dietary programs
- Activity and recreation programs
- Social and counseling services
Holistic Rehab Services
Kin On helps you plan your recovery with a step-by-step plan customized to your unique situation. Our goal is to help people transition back to their homes or suitable care environments as soon as possible.
Specific Rehabilitation Therapies:
- Physical Therapy: Orthopedic surgery rehabilitation, balance improvement, fall-risk reduction, and physical-strengthening therapies.
- Speech-Language Pathology Services: Specialized services for speech recovery, cognitive training, and swallowing ability following a stroke or heart event.
- Occupational Therapy: Developing skills for daily living, improving muscle strength, and learning how to function safely at home (e.g., using the toilet safely or walking up stairs).
Home Recovery Support
Kin On Home Care is licensed by the Washington Department of Health to help Asian elders live at home for as long as possible, often called “aging in place.” This program provides assistance for family members who work outside the home or for elderly clients who live alone and need extra help.
Home Care Support Includes:
- Transferring and positioning
- Personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, and toileting)
- Meal preparation according to cultural tastes
- Light housecleaning
- Grocery shopping
- Transportation to medical appointments
Our personal care assistants speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Toishanese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog, and undergo rigorous background checks and state-required training.
