The State defines assisted living as “intermittent nursing” for individuals who are medically stable and predictable. Our assisted living community was built for those responsible to freely come and go to enjoy the community surrounding us. Enjoy walking? Our intermittent nursing services include 6-8+ hours of licensed nurses on staff 7 days per week, compared with the local assisted living standard of hosting only 40 hours of nursing. We are uniquely set apart to provide superior care outcomes for our residents.

Amenities

Activities that focus on socialization, laughter, and movement occur throughout the first and second floors at the Vista. We support our residents’ needs by also organizing independent programming such as religious services and music, and bringing in pets and other animals.

In-House Specialty Services: The Wellness Advantage

We’re changing assisted living by offering unique wrap-around services. Our comprehensive programs include on-site healthcare services such as nursing, PT and OT, primary care visits and more. By focusing on preventative care and building strong relationships with the community, our residents age in place successfully while experiencing fewer hospitalizations.

Expert Care & Licensed Nursing

Our expert nurses provide clinical oversight of blood sugars, insulin injections, lab work, and keeping primary care doctors informed. We are committed to having licensed nursing on staff 5-7 days per week that oversee resident care. Our Wellness Team has fostered community partnerships to bring in dental hygienists, podiatry, and regular primary care doctor visits onsite.

Horticulture and Pet Therapy

Natural Healing

Studies have confirmed that nature is the best antidepressant available. We take residents on trips to Point Defiance Park and facilitate excursions to provide opportunities to dig fingers into dirt and engage with nature.

Visiting Animals

We have lovely community dogs that visit, as well as other animal guests including goats, sheep, miniature ponies, and rabbits. The love of an animal provides incredible therapies and vital emotional contact.

Clinical Services & Admissions

Plan of Care

Within 14-days of the resident’s move into our community, our clinical staff will complete a plan of care that addresses the resident’s assessed health care needs, social needs and preferences, and personal care tasks. This plan of care will be completed in consultation with the resident and their chosen representatives.

Care Plan Updates

Each resident will have their negotiated service plan reviewed at least annually and/or with a change of condition. Residents and their families are encouraged to participate in this planning process.
