Memory Support

Innovative, compassionate care for those living with dementia. A diagnosis of dementia is challenging both for the individual and those who care about them. That’s why at Legacy Pointe at UCF, our care team involves families in the process of developing care plans for our memory support residents. While our staff is trained in dementia care and dedicated to delivering the most compassionate, personalized care possible, nobody knows our residents like family, and those insights are key to better understanding the life story of each person we are so privileged to serve.

A Safe, Stimulating Atmosphere

A bedrock principle of our memory care program is ensuring the safety of each resident, always. Our secure memory care area offers its own dedicated dining room and common areas, a beautiful garden area, and round-the-clock care from staff trained in dementia care.

But safety is just the start. Our wonderful residents enjoy a variety of fun activities designed to entertain, encourage social interaction, and stimulate memory and cognitive function. There are art classes, dedicated activity stations, a living room area with TV, and a deep schedule of life enrichment programs that make each day fun for everyone.

Skilled Nursing

Customized long- and short-term care. At Legacy Pointe at UCF in Central Florida, we offer skilled nursing care in a comfortable and social senior living community. With programming and quality of care influenced by UCF’s College of Nursing, you or your loved one will receive the attentive care you should expect from a state-of-the-art skilled nursing center.

If you have a loved one who needs long-term nursing care, or short-term rehabilitation for recovery following a hospital stay or surgery, we invite you to come tour our community. Our program includes access to a 3,025 square foot gym and training kitchen, as well as our beautiful mobility garden.

Care Programs Designed Around You

Working with each resident’s personal physician, we address individual needs and respect personal preferences. Careful assessment, monitoring and evaluation are all part of our restorative philosophy and compassionate approach. We’re happy to offer direct admission to new private pay residents, and we’re also accepting Medicare residents for short-term nursing and rehabilitation. You do not have to be part of our existing Independent Living community to access our skilled nursing care.

Wellness & Recreation

Wellness is the foundation for a great life. Created in partnership with UCF’s College of Education and Human Performance, our wellness program is dedicated to improving our residents’ physical, mental, and emotional health daily. We all know that getting moving improves how we feel, but engaging the mind and soul impact our overall wellness in deep and meaningful ways as well.

Outdoor Activities at Legacy Pointe

Here, you can enjoy our pickleball courts and outdoor pool year-round. Sign up for a new class in our fitness studio. Challenge visiting family members to a game of bocce. Or head out for a relaxing walk around the lake with a couple of good friends, sharing stories and making plans for later as you stroll.

Pickleball Club

Pickleball, one of the country’s fastest-growing sports, is here at Legacy Pointe at UCF. So many people all over the community are enjoying the sport that they formed a very popular pickleball club that meets and competes regularly right here on campus. Whether you’re wanting to get some exercise, meet new people, or let your competitive spirit express itself, pickleball at Legacy Pointe offers it all.

Rehabilitation to Age Well

As part of looking after our overall wellness, if needed, physical therapists can measure and monitor residents’ agility, balance, and overall mobility to identify areas for improvement that can lead to greater overall health. If needed, rehabilitation programs can be designed that can help maintain and even improve flexibility and mobility, allowing residents to stay physically active and healthy for years to come.
