• Unique Therapeutic Solutions for Residents to Thrive: We partner with Paws for Friendship Inc., a therapy pet organization with over 30 years of experience. Interaction between the residents and the dogs, whom they love spending time with, provides mental stimulation.
• On-Site Beauty Parlor for Men and Women: Residents get pampered, relax, and feel beautiful from the inside out while visiting Rejuvenate Salon, boosting confidence and a positive self-image.
• 24/7 Assistance with Personal Care: Our staff assists with personal care, medication distribution, and wellness needs around the clock.
• Personal Emergency Communications System: The safety and security of our residents are of the utmost importance. Each resident receives one pendant that is recommended to be worn throughout the facility, and each apartment has one emergency pull cord in the bathroom.
• Clean and Hygienic Environment to Promote a Healthy Lifestyle: Regular cleaning and disinfection as guided by the Florida Department of Health. Residents can choose to add on weekly housekeeping services for their apartment, including laundry services for clothing, sheets, and towels.

Memory Care

The Sylvan and Jean Orloff Memory Care Unit delivers a sense of routine, purpose, and accomplishment for residents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, related dementia, and behavioral challenges.

We have 22 dedicated memory care rooms in a secure wing within our facility, inclusive of well-planned engaging activities that rotate monthly.

Extended Congregate Care (ECC)

Weinberg Village holds an Extended Congregate Care (ECC) license that models an aging-in-place care plan. This license enables our residents to receive a higher level of care, regardless of mental or physical obstacles that may otherwise disqualify them from residency under a standard or Limited Nursing Services (LNS) license.

Instead of being transferred to a skilled nursing facility, a strange and new setting, we facilitate third party continuing care for residents with declining health in their familiar Weinberg Village home.

This care may include monitoring their health with increased nursing assessments, measurements and recording of basic vital functions and weight, dietary management, administration of medications, rehabilitative services and supervision of residents with dementia and cognitive impairments.

Integrated Social Work

Weinberg Village and Tampa Jewish Family Services (TJFS) have formed a strong partnership to provide comprehensive support services to residents and their families. Together, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents by addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Coffee Talk is an enriching on-site program facilitated by TJFS Senior Services staff. This supportive group environment allows residents to share experiences, coping strategies, and support one another. Topics range from social connectedness and grief to chronic pain and life transitions. Join us for engaging discussions and valuable insights.

Rehabilitation Services

Improving the quality of life

• Powerback Rehabilitation Partnership: In partnership with Powerback Rehabilitation, a trusted provider with over 36 years of experience, we offer on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy rehabilitation. Our occupational therapists also address reintegration skills for short-term respite patients transitioning from medical care to private residences.
• Physical Therapy: Through therapeutic exercise programs, residents can regain strength and balance, prevent falls, increase their range of motion, and decrease pain. Activities of daily life (ADLs) and leisure activities increase with physical therapy, and goals are reached in a safe and supportive environment.
• Pet Therapy: We partner with Paws for Friendship Inc., a therapy pet organization with over 30 years of experience. The interaction with the dogs benefits the residents and always puts a smile on their faces.
• Speech Therapy: Residents receive treatment plans to address written verbal communication skills, including memory loss, orientation, and reasoning skills, along with swallowing dysfunction, addressing oral muscle strength and function for speaking and safe eating and drinking.
• Occupational Therapy: Powerback provides sensory-motor treatments for strength, endurance, range of motion, coordination, and balance, helping long-term care residents develop the skills needed to safely and independently perform activities of daily living (ADLs). For our Memory Care patients, Powerback develops strategies for maintaining independence in self-care activities.
