Assisted Living

For many seniors and their families, the decision to move from a private home to an assisted living environment is stressful and difficult. At Victoria Mews, we understand the importance of maintaining a dignified level of independence balanced with a compassionate level of care.

From the well-tended gardens, koi pond, and walking paths that surround the property, to the sweeping staircase and grand piano that greet you upon entry, Victoria Mews redefines the assisted living experience with a superior level of comfort, convenience, and support.

Private, beautifully appointed suites are just the beginning. Residents have the option of choosing from nine suite layouts that include studios and spacious one- or two-bedroom units, accommodating every budget range. Amenities include everything from daily bed making and trash removal to weekly housekeeping and laundry services.

Residents enjoy several dining options, which include our formal dining room serving three individualized restaurant-style meals each day, our lively bistro, where residents socialize, play cards, and enjoy refreshments, and our private dining room for special gatherings and family events. There is also a bright country kitchen where lots of fun cooking activities take place, such as pizza making and cookie baking.

Our Wellness Center includes a physician exam suite, and the Therapy Center features a fully equipped rehab area. Our non-denominational chapel offers regular services and provides a serene setting with panoramic views of the mountains surrounding the property.

For reading and online research, the beautiful wood-trimmed library is well-stocked with a variety of books and offers senior-friendly computer stations with free internet. There’s even a professionally appointed beauty/barber salon right on site, providing a full menu of services. Every inch of the environment at Victoria Mews has been thoughtfully designed to ensure residents are well cared for and feel comfortably at home.

Memory Care

For residents with Alzheimer’s and other related forms of dementia, our Connections program offers a custom-designed, intimate, family-oriented unit with 16 private suites. In this secure setting, we provide individualized care, focusing on the unique needs of seniors progressing through various stages of dementia.

Connections is a very special unit and one of the best choices for memory-impaired seniors. From the superior quality of care and its exceptional design, to the warmth of the environment and experience of our staff, Connections recognizes the importance of each individual and focuses on helping them achieve new successes. We provide ongoing support for residents and their families and encourage family and friends to visit anytime.

Our Connections unit features an outdoor enclosed area with a spacious patio and a vegetable garden, which provides residents with relaxing and fulfilling experiences. Our tranquil surroundings also include a large koi pond, many species of birds, white-tail deer, and wild turkeys, all helping residents to stay connected to nature.

Higher nursing ratios per resident plus a specially trained activities staff ensure that every individual is getting the highest level of care. Residents enjoy a variety of custom-designed activities within the unit, as well as events, trips, and entertainment integrated within the larger community.

The professionally designed living space in Connections consists of an elegant dining room, state-of-the-art kitchen, spacious and bright activity area, plus a cozy living room. Colors and fabrics are picked specifically to enhance the positive atmosphere of the unit. All doors are secured and alarmed, and each suite is equipped with an emergency call bell system.

The nursing staff closely monitors the health and safety of each resident. Complete monthly Wellness Assessments are performed to guide the development of individualized care plans. A Physician and a Nurse Practitioner are available for consultations, and the services of a Registered Dietitian and a Registered Pharmacist are utilized routinely to ensure that all clinical goals are met most efficiently and expeditiously. On-site Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists are also available to assist with safety and mobility.

Respite Care

Short-Term Stays Available

The Victoria Mews respite program offers exceptional short-term care options for a variety of situations. Whether your loved one is being discharged from the hospital or rehab and isn’t quite ready to go home, or their individual caregiver needs a break, our respite program provides a safe and welcoming environment. Our short-term residents enjoy the same level of exceptional care, amenities and services as our full-time residents, so you can be assured your loved one will be well cared for. Respite care can also provide your loved one with the opportunity to experience the benefits of assisted living prior to making a commitment to become a permanent resident. No matter the circumstances, the Victoria Mews respite program allows your loved one to live their best life, engaging with their peers, while giving you the freedom and peace of mind to live your life.

Moderate Income Program

Victoria Mews maintains a limited number of “Private” studio suites available for the low monthly rate of $4,975 for residents who are income qualified by the NJHMFA.
