At Sundara, we understand this, which is why we focus on the details like who likes their hair braided or brushed, who prefers to rise early or sleep late, and how do they take their coffee and eggs. What matters to our residents and their families matters to us, so all you need to focus on is what’s important – your relationship.

The latest research in memory and dementia care touts the benefits of small environments. Smaller settings minimize visual and aural overstimulation, disorientation from overly large spaces, and higher levels of agitation that are common with larger facilities. Each of our homes is limited to 16 residents, which promotes a degree of familiarity and a sense of comfort, stability, and security unmatched at larger communities.

We are not in the business of renting rooms; we are in the business of providing care.

Care Available at Sundara Round Rock

Sundara Round Rock is a Memory Care community only, meaning we specifically provide dementia care. As a memory care facility, we carry two licenses, one for assisted living and one specifically for dementia care.

Sundara offers Assisted Living care which encompasses the five Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Bathing
• Dressing
• Toileting
• Transferring
• Eating assistance

In addition, we do all of the medication supervision.

Dementia Respite Care

Whether it is a few hours a day or a few days a month, we offer a dynamic Respite Program designed to give dementia caregivers a needed and welcome break.

Our approach to care is predicated on engagement and routine and includes a continuous blend of innovative physical, cognitive, social, group, and individual activities designed to provide structure to our residents to reduce anxiety, agitation, and create a happier person.

On-site Medical Options

Sundara is not a medical model; we bring all medical options into the house, including a house-call doctor, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, mobile lab, mobile x-ray, mobile podiatry, mobile dentistry, pharmacy, and any medical professional associated with these disciplines.
