Home Cooked Meals:

Three meals daily are prepared as reviewed and approved by a Registered Florida Dietician. We can also offer specific dietary needs and are flexible to handle individual preferences. Refreshments consisting of fresh fruit, snacks and juices are available always.

On-Call Professionals:

The entire range of medical services are available on-site dependant on your loved one’s insurance coverage. Doctors, dermatologist, Physical and Occupational therapy, eye care professionals, and nurses will visit to assist in assuring good health. We will handle transportation for doctor visits outside of Summerhaven for an additional charge, or we will arrange for Medicaid covered transportation.

Daily Housekeeping:

All common areas are cleaned daily to ensure a meticulously fresh living area. Bedrooms are cleaned a minimum twice weekly. Bed sheets are changed a minimum of twice weekly, but will be changed more often if necessary.

Workmen’s Compensation / Assisted Living

Summerhaven is a unique residential assisted living program for adults that have experienced life altering events through work related injuries, personal accidents or neurological trauma which make daily care necessary.

We provide supported living with 24-hour supervision in a comfortable home environment in a large, luxury, single family home, instead of the clinical nursing home environment, greatly enriching the quality of life for your loved one. Residents receive attendant care and appropriate therapies while enjoying the ambiance of family style living.

Our 2:1 resident to morning staff ratio allows us to provide the highest level of care while at Summerhaven and also allows the opportunity for residents to take pleasure in individual community outings and events. Residents can enjoy both privacy and a sense of community in our home, waking up to breakfast being cooked, followed by the daily morning walk, whether by wheel-chair or walker assisted.

Many meals are enjoyed poolside or in the spacious dining area overlooking the pool and lanai. Each resident has a spacious private bedroom, individualized décor, while comfortable living areas provide space for participating in daily entertainment, recreational activities and visits with family and friends.

Summerhaven is designed to meet each resident’s specific needs. Individuals can be served on a short-term basis, to receive specific community integration skills and prescribed therapy to regain a higher level of independence, or on a long-term basis for safety, health management and continued growth in independence.
