Penny’s Guest Home, LLC is a residential care facility for the elderly that has been providing care since 1999. Penny’s Guest Home has 8 different locations within the cities of Concord, Pleasant Hill, and San Ramon in California.

Penny’s Guest Home is dedicated in providing our residents with the best care possible. We make sure that the caregivers stationed in each facility are experienced and well trained to provide high quality care to our residents. We have attentive and compassionate staff available to assist the residents with their daily tasks and needs. Our caregivers are trained in first aid and have criminal records clearance. We have an R.N. on staff for all facilities available every weekday to ensure that all residents receive the proper care they deserve and need.

It is Penny’s Guest Home’s motto to strive for providing the best quality care to our residents, and make sure that they feel safe and comfortable in a place that they can call their home. We know that each resident have different needs and require different care, thus it is our goal to cater and provide a care program fitting for them. What differentiates us from the rest is the amount of thought and care we give to our residents; we have a relationship-based care program.

Services

To ensure a healthful living environment for all residents, Penny’s Guest Home offers the following basic services. The actual services provided will be those the resident wants and those the resident needs, based on the individual’s pre-admission appraisal and the needs and services plan. However, subsequent resident appraisals may result in the need for additional basic services.

Basic services include:

  • Staff available 24 hours
  • Wheelchair accessible showers
  • Care and supervision
  • Observation for changes in physical, mental, emotional and social functioning
  • Notification to resident’s family, physician and other appropriate person/agency of resident’s needs
  • Lodging: private (single) room or semi-private (double) room
  • Food services, 3 nutritious meals daily and snacks; special diets if prescribed by a doctor
  • Assistance to gain access to supportive services, such as voting, senior assistance agencies, etc.
  • Transportation – We will arrange for your transportation with a third party provider as requested
  • A planned activity program including arrangement for utilization of available community resources
  • Assistance with personal activities of daily living as follows:
    • Dressing
    • Eating
    • Toileting
    • Bathing
    • Grooming
    • Mobility tasks
    • Other personal care needs requested by resident

Additional basic services included that the resident needs or wants and will be provided by the facility are as follows:

  • Hygiene items of general use, such as soap and toilet paper
  • Laundering of personal clothing
  • Clean bed and bath linens weekly, or as often as needed
  • Cleaning of resident’s room
  • Comfortable and suitable bed and/or bedroom furniture
  • Assistance in meeting necessary medical and dental needs requested by resident
  • Assistance with taking prescribed and over-the-counter medications in accordance with physician’s instructions unless prohibited by law or regulations
  • Bedside care and tray services for minor temporary illnesses or recovery from surgery
