New Haven Bastrop’s Dementia Care programs have been carefully designed to be affordable and helpful to your loved ones. We specialize in Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other memory-related diseases. Our well-trained staff provide daily assistance for seniors who have cognitive issues. Assistance includes areas of focus such as reminders, redirection, and socialization.

Design Features

• All suites are private. Each includes a bedroom and bathroom, so residents don’t have to share personal space with a stranger. Assisted living suites—for those who are not part of our memory care program—also include a kitchenette.
• We’ve eliminated long hallways. All suites open up directly onto a common area, so residents won’t get lost or feel isolated.
• We’ve organized each residence around a central kitchen. It’s a place to gather, eat wonderful meals and snacks, and find friends easily.
• We’ve included guideposts throughout our residences for those with memory loss. Built-in visual cues stir recognition and help our memory care residents feel safe.
• We’ve kept our communities intentionally small. Each building accommodates a maximum of only 16 residents, so there’s much less anxiety and stress about having to find a place in a large group. Fewer residents also means our staff can be more attentive to each senior’s needs.
