Mason Health Care Center serves Mason, Ohio and Warren County residents. Most of our staff have lived here all their lives and chances are they know you, your family or someone close to you. It’s a comforting thought and our close family atmosphere truly does feel more like home.

We welcome Medicare/Medicaid and dual eligible residents. Our affordable private-pay rates are a welcome relief when deciding where to place a loved one. Our current and past residents share with family, friends and neighbors what their experience has been during a stay or rehabilitation. This word-of-mouth has kept our facility full and typically with a wait list. Currently, we do have vacancies and would welcome your visit.

Assisted Living

Mason Health Care Center offers assisted living in a warm, home-like environment. Assisted living suites are all private studios with ample space to decorate with your own furnishings. Each suite is complete with a private-full bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and closet space. Residents can have their suites decorated just like home with their own bedding, window treatments, furniture, accessories, shower curtains and more, or furniture is provided if you choose to use ours. We’re here to help assist with your move-in and settling you in.

All three meals are served in the dining room and the menu is delicious. A daily menu of home-cooked meals is posted with many options to select what you like; if you require a special menu, our dietitian will coordinate your needs. Meals are served restaurant-style.

Our 24-hour nursing staff attend to resident needs around-the-clock. Whatever your needs—dressing, medication reminders, or bathing assistance—our attentive staff will always be there for you. Laundry services are also included.

Rehabilitation

Our experienced and dedicated team of therapists develop and implement individualized plans of care to assist our residents with obtaining their personalized goals. Mason Health Care Center provides comprehensive services for physical, occupational and speech therapies.

Physical Therapy

Our professionally trained and licensed Physical Therapists provide therapy to elderly patients using state-of-the-art equipment and therapy modalities with the goal of maximizing the individual’s independence. Our Physical Therapists treat those:

• Recovering from injuries or open wounds
• Recovering from hip or knee surgery
• Experiencing weakness, acute or chronic pain resulting from illness or accidents
• Experiencing inflexibility and pain from arthritis
• Experiencing neurological disease such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or who have experienced a head injury

Occupational Therapy

Provides skills for individuals to work toward returning to daily living tasks with minimum discomfort and maximum productivity. Our Occupational Therapists employ goal-directed techniques to increase individual independence so they may return to their home and be able to perform daily tasks. They can creatively adapt the home environment to meet the individual’s needs. We treat individuals for:

• Retraining in tasks of everyday living
• Custom made splints and positioning devices for proper alignment and body mechanics
• The opportunity to resume involvement in work, the community and family/social life

Speech & Language Pathology

Speech-Language Pathologists are professionally trained to diagnose and treat communicative disorders. Our therapists take a holistic approach to therapy and are continually updating their skills on the most current treatment modalities. We provide treatment for a variety of communication disorders including:

• Aphasia: Difficulty with communication such as the ability to comprehend and interpret verbal and written language.
• Decreased Cognitive Functioning: People with brain injuries or dementia can benefit from therapy designed to increase and maintain communication skills.
• Dysphagia: Swallowing disorders may result from brain injuries, strokes and neurological disease.

We provide therapy services based on needs and requests, up to 7 days a week. We dedicate the appropriate amount of time daily depending on each individual therapy program and what is needed.

Respite Care Temporary Stay Options

Since 1954, Mason Health Care Center has been a trusted source when individuals or families require a little extra help for a short period of time. Our respite care program is typically utilized to give the caregiver a break or when they are unavailable. It is also an opportunity to try long term care for future living arrangements. These stays range from a few days to a month or longer.

Our more advanced skilled nursing services include hospice respite and general in-patient stays. Our staff is trained on how to care for someone during their final days. As a team, we work closely with area hospice organizations to meet your needs. Respite care allows a family caregiver to get a break from their duties. If your loved one is eligible for Medicare or Medicaid, his or her hospice care might be covered.

Mason Health Care Center offers large semi-private and private rooms. Semi-private rooms are available for long term care and skilled nursing.

Nutritious Meals

Our dining room is open and spacious, serving three meals and snacks each day. Our dietitian supervises the needs of each resident to ensure a variety of meals are available. This room also doubles as a great entertainment and event area.

Group Transportation

Mason Health Care Center provides plenty of planned excursions into surrounding communities of Mason, West Chester and Cincinnati. Our 12-passenger bus allows the residents to get out for frequent outings for shopping, events or activities.

On-site Rehab

On-site rehab is available for physical, speech, and occupational therapy. Every resident receives a thorough evaluation and individualized program.

Outdoor Garden & Patio

The private outdoor courtyard features beautiful shade trees and tables with umbrellas. When the weather is warm, regular activities are held outdoors for fun and a little exercise.

Activity Room

Our activity room and calendar is full of crafts, games and other activities that residents truly love. The warmth and attention our activity director provides ensures an engaging environment for all.

Living Room

At the center of our community is a living room area where residents enjoy socializing, gathering for pet therapy visits, watching TV with friends or reading. Everyone makes a stop here throughout the day for some company and conversation.

Salon & Barber Shop

Full service salon offers men’s and women’s hair styling including shampoos, haircuts, permanent waves and color.

Religious Services

Mason Health Care Center embraces the individual beliefs of our residents. We offer a variety of weekly spiritual activities including Catholic Communion, Protestant services and Bible study.

Regular visits by an optometrist, dentist and podiatrist are held on-site for the convenience of our residents.
