Skilled Nursing and Health Care Services

As a Life Care Retirement Community, Lakeview Terrace offers Medicare Certified comprehensive Rehabilitation and Health Care Services, in the Health Care Center and in your home with Home Care. These services in the Health Care Center are provided under the direction of the Medical Director, who is the personal physician to many residents. Other health professionals assisting the Medical Director include the Health Care Center Administrator, Director of Nurses, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.

Services In Your Home

Each home at Lakeview Terrace is equipped with an emergency call system. This system allows residents to alert the Health Care Center staff in case of an emergency.

Lakeview Terrace Home Health Services, accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), are available to anyone desiring and qualifying for Medicare services. Non-Medicare home health services can also be arranged upon request.

A community nurse is available 24-hours a day. She will come to your home in case of an emergency or to simply answer questions.

Health Care Center

The Medical Director holds a weekly clinic in the Health Care Center. This provides an opportunity to make an appointment to see the doctor who can answer your questions, and receive routine medical care.

The Health Care Center offers levels of “in-patient” health care: assisted living apartments, semi-private and private rooms, memory care and assisted living where residents are attended by licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. A Skilled Nursing Facility is also located in the Health Care Center.

• Gated Security: Feel safe and secure in your Lakeview home where you will have 24 hour manned security.
• Wood Shop: A special place to put all of your creative talents to work.
• Walking Paths: Any given day you will see residents walking around the community. Here we have two gorgeous lakes. One lake has a lit walkway that goes completely around the lake along with benches to sit and observe the birds or the sunrise early in the morning.
• 9-hole Senior Golf Course: Come show up with your clubs and join in any day for a fun golf game. Every Saturday residents organize morning tee times. Twice a year there is a golf tournament led by the Wellness Coordinator.
• Shuffleboard: We have lit courts and all equipment waiting for you to join in at anytime. There are two times a week where there is an instructor there to help teach and lead games. Along with shaded seating.
• Pharmacy: On Site Delivery services gives you your medications in a quick, secure way. No trip necessary to the drug store.
• Miniature Golf: What fun it is to participate in miniature golf tournaments.
• Fishing (Two Lakes): Get hooked on this activity while enjoying the outdoors on Lake Pearl or Lake Quida.
• Canoeing: Paddle yourself in a nature retreat, a great time in your canoe.
• Garden Plots: Grow flowers, vegetables, whatever you choose.
• Hair Styling Salon | Barber Shop: Feel refreshed and renewed after your spruce-up. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 2pm.
• Country Store: Grab an ice cream or a cup of coffee while picking up some staples for your home such as milk or cereal.
• Library: We share a relationship with the Lake County Library system, so you can get any book you want to read.
• Billiards Table: A “cross table shot” or a “push shot” might just win you the game.
• On-site Banking: United Southern Bank has an office in our community center. Banking hours are Tuesday and Friday, 10am to 4pm (closed for lunch).
• Community Pool: Aquatic exercising is easy on the body and feels good too. Residents love the new non-chlorine salt pool.
• Meeting Rooms: There are meeting rooms for Interesting topics to be discussed and/or club functions.
• Dance Floor: Always need a dance floor for when we have live band performances and musical functions.
• Horse Shoes: What is that song? “Everything old is new again?”
• Wear House Shop: The residents’ resale shop last year made over $7,000 which went towards funding scholarships for employees, their families and Umatilla High School graduates.
• Dog Park: Bring your best friend, even if he has 4 legs, to Lakeview, and let him run free in our Dog Park or take walks around our beautiful country setting.
