About Key Training Center

To assist persons with developmental disabilities achieve their God-given potential through an array of individualized services that promote growth, choice, and independence with kindness, love, dignity, and respect.

All people with developmental disabilities should be afforded all human rights and enjoy legitimate opportunities to share equally in every aspect of community life and citizenship without discrimination.

Levels of Care

Adult Day Training

The Key Training Center offers comprehensive scope of services to help individuals and find meaningful work or activities. The Adult Day Training program is designed to help program participants function more normally in everyday life. Using hands-on learning techniques, Key Center staff help clients enhance life skills inside structured classrooms, workshops, and/or with a business in the community. Supervision and personal care is provided to participants.

Once admitted to the Key Training Center, an individual support plan is developed for each client. This custom support plan includes input from the client, parents, staff members and an independent support coordinator.

A plan of care is outlined. Personal client goals and objectives are established. Daily progress or programs are monitored and documented. The support plan is reviewed and modified annually or more often, if necessary, to address client needs.

Residential

We currently have openings in our community-based group homes and apartments for state-funded adults with developmental disabilities. We offer private and semi-private fully furnished clean rooms. Our semi-private rooms are furnished for 2 persons. All of our homes provide the following accommodations:

We take pride on all services we can offer and provide to all of our individuals. We adhere to our mission statement as we treat each of our friends with kindness, love dignity and respect. All of our homes are inspected annually by the health department and fire department. All of our homes are licensed and inspected monthly by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the Agency for Health Care Administration. We are currently opening new homes.

Key Elder Care

We’re Citrus County’s only adult day care center licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration.

We provide safe, caring supervision to dependent adults, offering specialized care to promote physical and emotional wellness while catering to their daily needs.

We give adult dependents and their families the opportunity to learn and interact with others.

We offer guided support for the whole family.
