John Knox Village is a nonprofit Life Plan Community (sometimes referred to as a continuing care retirement community or CCRC).

Here, you can live your life with the peace of mind that comes with knowing that a full continuum of high-quality care services is available to you on campus if and when you need it. You can receive all the health services you’ll ever need to age in place at John Knox Village.

A campus of care

At Oak Park Senior Services Center, independent living residents and local seniors can see our own nurse practitioner for their primary care needs. They can also take advantage of outpatient rehabilitation services, pharmacy services, visiting primary care physicians and specialists (like podiatry, audiology and psychology) and lab services – all conveniently located on our campus.

When residential care is needed, short- or long-term, Oak View Suites provides assisted living care, and Majestic Oaks provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services as well as memory care.

Our nursing services cater to residents who need around-the-clock skilled nursing and support with activities of daily living.

John Knox Village of Central Florida has expanded its commitment to exceptional care through the acquisition of Certus Premier Memory Care in Orange City, now operating as John Knox Village of Central Florida Premier Memory Care Living.

Every dementia journey is unique

Specially trained staff and carefully designed apartments and common spaces create a secure, supportive environment for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. Our individualized approach to memory care encourages independence and social engagement by adapting to each resident’s needs.

Our program focuses on fostering dignity and a sense of achievement in everyday activities, enhancing self-worth, self-esteem and overall health and well-being, and minimizing feelings of fear, anxiety and frustration.

We understand how dementia can profoundly affect families, and we know that they need support too. Our primary goal is to nurture residents’ relationships with their loved ones while encouraging meaningful new connections with caregivers and their neighbors.

Rehabilitation

After a hospital stay, you or a loved one may need a transitional step before returning home. Our skilled nursing and rehabilitation services target restoration of strength and mobility to get residents back to their normal lives as quickly as possible.

Expertly managed recovery

Comfortable and hospitality-focused, Majestic Oaks is nationally recognized. Our rehab professionals develop an individualized treatment plan for your short- or long-term rehabilitation. Certified by your doctor, the plan addresses rehabilitation needs and personal goals.

A team including a doctor, nurse, social worker, dietitian and therapist provides care and guides your rehabilitation process.

Leave all the details to us

We coordinate everything: physical, occupational and speech therapy, pharmacy and imaging services, and coordination and transportation to off-campus follow-up appointments.

Before you go home, our individualized discharge plan will identify any equipment needs and in-home services you’ll need. John Knox Village home health services are available to help with your transition – providing physical, occupational and speech therapies in the comfort and privacy of your own home. You may also visit Oak Park Outpatient Services to continue rehabilitation and outpatient therapy services.

If you’re recovering from a hospital or post-rehab stay or other health event, John Knox Village Home Health Care provides both professional and personal care services. We develop individualized plans to fit your needs and preferences.

A full spectrum of services

A fully licensed in-home care agency, John Knox Village Home Health Care provides professional home health care services, including skilled nursing; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and medication management services.

Personal care services offer support for the activities of daily living and can range from hands-on caregiving to pet walking. Services include help with personal grooming, companionship, laundry and light housekeeping, meal preparation, pet care, shopping, bill paying and more.

24-Hour Home Care: Compassion You Can Count On—Anytime, Day or Night

Care doesn’t keep office hours, and neither do we. That’s why our Home Care Services are now available 24/7, providing trusted support whenever it’s needed most. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy services by appointment with a physician referral.

We use a state-of-the-art driving simulator to test and rehabilitate visual, cognitive, and physical functions that may impact independence and mobility.

Enjoy lifelong learning programs, exercise at our world-class fitness center and pool area, play a game of billiards or socialize with your friends and neighbors at the Treetop Lounge or The Scoop ice cream parlor.

The Centre also offers a full complement of resident services, from banking, salon and barber services to shopping and more – everything you need is conveniently located. And when you’ve worked up an appetite, three of our restaurants are in The Centre.

Valencia Clubhouse

The Valencia Clubhouse is our newest clubhouse. It offers additional dining options, lounges and activities spaces, including a pool, a fitness center, yoga and dance studio, tennis and pickleball courts, and a patio with a firepit.

Barker Center

The Lester R. Barker Activity Center is a multi-purpose activity space that offers a large auditorium and several multi-function spaces that host a variety of resident activities and workshops.

Sportsplex

Our outdoor sports center is the perfect place to enjoy the Florida sunshine. Practice your golf game on our expansive putting green or enjoy a few rounds of shuffleboard with friends and neighbors. Afterward, head over to the Tree Top Lounge at The Centre for a round of drinks.

Every apartment, cottage or villa has a gourmet kitchen.

In addition to the one-time entry fee, you’ll also have a monthly service fee as a resident of John Knox Village. This fee varies depending on the specifics of your contract and covers the costs of day-to-day living, including:
