Our Activities Coordinator makes sure our calendar is full of a wide variety of parties, classes, lectures, and excursions. Grand Villa of Clearwater residents live in well-equipped apartments, with all the amenities they love. Our apartments are available as a private residence or a companion apartment with a roommate. They range in size from studios to one and two bedroom apartments.

All of our apartments are designed with the comfort and convenience of our residents in mind. Every apartment includes a private bathroom with safety features, including grab bars and handheld showerhead. Kitchenettes include a refrigerator, sink, and cabinet. Some apartments have full kitchens.

Health & Wellness

At Grand Villa of Clearwater we offer daily options including a variety of exercise programs and activities to promote flexibility, dexterity and movement.

Health and wellness services are available right here. General practitioners, podiatrists, dentists and optometrists visit Grand Villa regularly. Residents can make an appointment with a visiting physical or schedule a free ride to visit a local doctor’s office.

Our staff can coordinate other support services and supplies upon request. Home Health options such as registered nurses to assist with clinical needs, or aides to help with additional personal care are available at your physician’s request.

Villa Care Technology

Our Villa Care Technology, part of the Villa Care Program, helps to create and communicate a detailed resident care plan including all activities of daily living, medications, dietary requirements and more. This unique Resident Care Technology included state of the art Medication Management, which uses electronic medical records, medication ordering and delivery by a preferred provider, and the advanced system of alerts and reminders to improve accuracy and timely delivery of medication.

In addition, most generic over-the-counter medications are free of charge with use of our preferred pharmacy. The Villa Care Portal also sends automatic alerts, to all key personnel including the Executive Director, to ensure that all care and medications are provided on schedule, giving peace of mind to loved ones.

In our Memory Care Neighborhood we incorporate additional, important safety features. Each apartment is equipped with motion sensors which, when activated, send an alert to caregivers who can then respond. Special ambient lights are also activated in and around the bathroom, providing a guiding light during the night.

Also, the SafetyNet Tracking System provides yet another level of safety and security to our residents, during those times when they leave the community for a doctor’s appointment or for family outings.

Dining

Grand Villa of Clearwater residents enjoy an outstanding dining experience. Our chefs prepare three delicious and nutritious meals each day, which are served in our restaurant-style dining room. Residents make their own meal selections from an extensive menu of nutritious choices. We also offer a variety of tasty snacks throughout the day.

The family-feel of our community shines through every time residents gather to share a meal and enjoy relaxed conversation. We make meals even more enjoyable and social with fun events such as Tasty Traditions, where residents share family recipes with our chefs, who then prepare a meal for the entire community to enjoy.

Experience Passport Dining

At Grand Villa, we travel to countries far away to enjoy gourmet cuisines together from around the globe! And we never have to pack a bag! Once a month, the residents at Grand Villa “travel the world” by enjoying a Passport Dining meal together. We visit many countries, learn about what makes them special and then share a meal celebrating their unique cuisine. Each resident has a Dining Passport with stamps from the different countries, where we enter the date of our visit.

We also love to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and accomplishments with a variety of meals and party food. From decadent birthday cakes to holiday must-haves, we mark every event in a special and memorable way.

Tasty Traditions

Our Tasty Traditions program recognizes there are a lot of good cooks among our residents! We encourage our residents to share their favorite family recipes with the entire community. Submit your family recipe, and we’ll prepare it for everyone at a special meal! It’s all part of our family tradition.

Our residents love Theme Meals. Each month we feature a different Theme Meal with entertainment and dishes to celebrate a holiday or special event.

Grand Villa offers a specially designed neighborhood where residents are free to explore, touch, and choose their own activities, allowing them to live life with a purpose®. Our exit-controlled neighborhood provides all the services and amenities, enhanced with special features that meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The Memory Care program blends cutting edge technology with the most current research in memory care to create activities specifically designed for Alzheimer’s. Residents are involved in daily therapeutic and recreational activities such as Dakim® Brain Fitness, music therapy, pet therapy, and sensory stimulation to encourage independence and preserve dignity.

Residents live in private residences, or companion apartments with a roommate. Our apartments are comfortable and inviting, and include many safety features. Each apartment is equipped with state of the art motion sensors. When a motion sensor is activated, an alert is sent to the caregivers who can then respond, as needed. Special lights are also activated in and around the bathroom, which provide a guiding light at night.

About the Memory Care Program

We focus on activities in Memory Care to enhance general health, personal relationships, and communication skills. We concentrate on familiar abilities to avoid frustration at not being able to accomplish an activity. We laugh, smile and make eye contact. We give lots of positive encouragement. If a resident becomes anxious or upset, we take a break. Light exercise programs help residents maintain muscles and flexibility.

Life Skill Stations

When you visit our Memory Care Neighborhood you’ll see specially designed areas that spark memories, interest, and interaction for our residents. Life Skill Stations recreate familiar situations from the past — like a baby nursery, a garden, an office, or a hobby workbench. Our residents become socially engaged in these familiar situations, which can sustain their memories, as well as provide them with cognitive exercises and physical movement.

We have created a special environment where our residents are free to explore, touch, and choose their own activities. The entire Memory Care Neighborhood provides a way for residents to engage in their surroundings.

Respite Care in Clearwater, Florida

Grand Villa of Clearwater offers a Respite Care program to give family caregivers a chance to rest and rejuvenate. This type of care helps to restore a caregiver’s energy and make it possible for home-care to continue. Below is more information about our programs, which are designed to support families who are not ready for full-time residency in a senior community.

Short-Term Stay

Our Short-Term Stay program meets many needs. It can give a caregiver some much-needed rest time, help residents to transition into our community, or give seniors time to recuperate from a hospital stay before they return home. Short-Term Stay residents enjoy all the amenities of our community for a few days, a week, or a month. Short-Term Stay participants also have access to the fine dining, housekeeping, and the personal care services of our full time residents.

Senior Day Program

Our Senior Day Program is an excellent way to reduce the stress of family caregiving and create a good experience for everyone involved. Studies show that isolation and loneliness decrease when seniors are in an active and enjoyable day program. Participants benefit from personal health and wellness services and social activities during the day, and then return home to familiar surroundings in the evening.

Family caregivers can use this program to provide interesting, active days for their loved one while they are at work, or take a well-deserved break. Our Senior Day Program is an affordable alternative that can help seniors live at home longer, and prevent caregiver burnout.

Our Senior Day Program includes

• Gentle exercise, art classes, bingo, musical entertainment, sensory stimulation, pet therapy, and much more

• Flexible, extended hours are 7am to 7pm, seven days a week including holidays

Respite Care
