Levels of Care

Assisted Living

Located on the bay, Bayside Manor reaches new heights in Assisted Living with its panoramic views of the Jersey shore. We offer multiple levels of care that are tailored to each resident’s interests and needs. 24-hour nursing and health aide clinical support is available. Our residents receive the assistance they need with activities of daily living to remain independent. Our services are designed to promote our residents’ quality of life.

Our main floor offers an attractively designed common area for our residents and guests to enjoy. Our library, living room, and private and resident dining rooms bear the simple elegance of Victorian charm and decor. Bayside village is our social center. It duplicates the quaint style of a small town. Our residents can take a stroll down Main Street and find our country store, movie theater, chapel, and beauty salon. A wide range of activities are offered daily to suit all interests.

Here at Bayside Manor Assisted Living we offer a variety of size units to fit each resident’s personal and financial needs. A resident may choose to live alone in one of our smaller basic units, with a companion in a semi-private unit, or desire a larger luxurious space that our water suites provide. Whatever living space is chosen, all of our units are designed for safety. Each unit includes a bathroom, kitchenette, wall-to-wall carpeting, window treatments, and an emergency call response system.

At Bayside Manor we provide services in a comfortable, safe, homelike environment. Our trained staff is committed to assisting residents who can no longer live on their own but do not require 24-hour care. Here at Bayside Manor Assisted Living residents enjoy a wide range of services and amenities as part of our “all-inclusive rate”.

Special Care

When Assisted Living no longer works, Bayside Manor Special Care units are part of our continuum of care provided right here on campus. Our Special Care units provide a higher level of care. Residents who require Special Care or those suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia receive 24-hour nursing and personal care assistance.

Our compassionate team delivers care with patience and understanding to serve our residents with dignity. Nurses meet with family members to find out residents’ likes and dislikes, routines, and cues that they respond to in order to create a personalized care plan. They are actively involved in monitoring residents’ health care needs and changes.

We offer both private and semi-private rooms in Special Care that are safe, secured units. The common areas are highlighted by naturally lit atriums where residents can relax or participate in scheduled activities. Our specific programming is designed to decrease stress, reduce anxieties, and be flexible with a resident’s changes in cognition or mood. We maintain a high staff-to-resident ratio.

Meals are served in our oversized dining rooms which were designed to accommodate those who are severely handicapped. Residents can enjoy the ambiance of fine dining while receiving the hands-on assistance they require. Our dietary staff creates a variety of menu items taking into consideration residents who have chewing and swallowing issues or those with diminished senses of smell and taste.

Bayside Manor’s Special Care is a wonderful alternative for those whose needs surpass Assisted Living but still wish to live in a private, luxurious setting.

Respite Care

Respite care is a short-term stay available in our senior living community. Services are available in either our Assisted Living facility or for those requiring skilled nursing services in our Special Care arena. Loved ones will receive 24-hour care by specially trained staff, including medication management, and assistance with ADLs.

Here at Bayside Manor, respite care is provided in a safe, comfortable, supportive environment where staff caters to our clients’ specific needs. Loved ones become part of the Bayside Manor community: dining with other residents, participating in activities, and engaging in all of our services and amenities.

This temporary stay provides so much:

• Reassurance: Your loved one will be cared for by trained professionals.
• Socialization: Your loved one will have opportunities to meet new people and establish new friendships while participating in activities and sharing meals.
• Relief of caregiver fatigue: Caring for loved ones at times can feel overwhelming. Caregivers can take time to attend to their personal needs. Respite care allows the caregiver to recharge and rejuvenate during this break.
• Trial Period: Your loved one can experience life at Bayside Manor before becoming a full-time resident. This is an excellent way for loved ones to meet other residents, try our food, experience all our amenities, and ease into permanent residency.

Hospice Care

Bayside Manor is affiliated with many reputable hospices in the area that provide excellent services. The choice of hospice is yours. Whichever hospice you choose, our staff will work as part of their interdisciplinary team to meet your loved one’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to make every moment count.

What services are provided with Hospice care?

• MD – either your own or one connected with the Hospice to provide medical orders.
• Nurses – both hospice and Bayside Manor nurses who will oversee care.
• Aides – to assist with activities of daily living.
• Chaplain and spiritual services.
• Social work and counseling.
• Comfort measures.

Activities

Bayside Manor has outstanding activities for all of our residents. There are events and activities scheduled every day for both the Assisted Living and Special Care Programs.

Every resident and their family members have access to our monthly calendars. Social, recreational, and cultural activities are scheduled for all to enjoy. All residents are encouraged to participate.
