Dorset Place is a pet-friendly community specializing in memory care and respite care, built around individualized care plans and 24/7 licensed nursing coverage. Every resident receives a custom care plan, with regular care plan reviews to keep support aligned with changing needs.

Memory care is delivered through the community’s Vintage Gardens program, designed for residents living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Programming is research-informed and addresses sensory, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs, with a dedicated activities coordinator on staff. Daily life includes puzzles and word games, interactive life and work stations, pet therapy, music therapy, an art club, an adaptive exercise program, mocktail hours and reminiscence groups, daily devotion, and live entertainment. Residents are also invited into purposeful tasks like folding, sorting, or helping in the kitchen. Monthly support groups are offered for families.

Care services include specialized support across all stages of dementia, medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, housekeeping and personal laundry, on-site physical therapy, and scheduled transportation.

The memory care neighborhood is a secured, single-level environment organized around a large central living area that opens onto a private courtyard. Apartments are designed for easy navigation, with natural light, storytelling artwork, and activity stations throughout. The community uses an AI-assisted fall detection system. Residents have access to a beauty salon and a movie theater.

Dining consists of three freshly prepared homestyle meals daily plus snacks, with specialized diets accommodated for health and religious needs. The dining approach is adapted for cognitive impairment: simplified menu choices, smaller easy-to-eat portions, finger foods that don’t require utensils, hydration monitoring, and hand towel aromatherapy before and after meals — all aimed at supporting independence and reducing malnutrition risk.

Floor plans are suite-style: the Baywood (private suite, private bath, 288 sq. ft.) and Baywood Deluxe (companion suite, private bath, 324 sq. ft.). Apartment features include carpeting, generous closet and storage space, individual heating and air conditioning, window treatments, and a refrigerator/freezer. Most amenities are included in the monthly rent.

Short-term respite care is also available, including post-surgical or post-illness recovery stays and temporary relief for family caregivers.
