Grand Villa has a unique state of the art Resident Care Technology that provides peace of mind by helping to ensure that care is provided as needed. An added feature is the state of the art Medication Management, including medication ordering and delivery services by a preferred provider, which improves accuracy and timely medication delivery.

Our home-like environment is welcoming and inviting, with many activity choices available each day. Whether parties, classes, lectures, or excursions, there is always an entertaining and engaging option. Assisted Living

At Grand Villa of DeLand, our assisted living residents have all the freedom and independence they desire, with personalized care and support available when needed. We work in partnership with our residents and their families to create unique assisted living lifestyles based on individual needs and preferences. Our devoted care staff creates a nurturing, family-like environment with great care available 24-hours a day.

The monthly rate covers everything from 3 chef prepared meals daily, housekeeping, laundry and much more. Our state of the art medication and resident care technology provides peace of mind by helping to ensure that care is provided on time. Residents live in private or companion apartments that range in size from large studios to spacious one bedrooms.

Our residents are free to determine their own daily schedules. We offer a wide array of options to appeal to any preference. Residents can travel the world with our Passport Dining Experience, stay fit with our walking club, or enjoy freshly popped popcorn while watching the latest blockbuster in our on-site theater. At Grand Villa, the choice is always yours.

Our dedicated assisted living support staff includes a resident care supervisor, resident assistants, a full-time Activities Coordinator, and access to third-party health care specialists. The caring staff at Grand Villa is accessible to residents 24-hours a day.

Personalized Care

Grand Villa of DeLand offers a Personalized Care program for residents who need more help with daily activities. The Personalized Care lifestyle includes help with bathing, dressing, and hygiene, as well as extras such as personal reminders to our restaurant-style dining room and activities. Our devoted staff creates a home-like atmosphere where residents are always treated with respect and compassion.

While the frequency and amount of assistance depends on the needs of each individual, all levels of personal care balances watchful supervision with respect for personal privacy and dignity.

Memory Care

Grand Villa offers a specially designed neighborhood where residents are free to explore, touch, and choose their own activities, allowing them to live life with a purpose®. Our exit controlled neighborhood provides all the services and amenities, enhanced with special features that meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The Memory Care program blends cutting edge technology with the most current research in memory care to create activities specifically designed for Alzheimer’s. Residents are involved in daily therapeutic and recreational activities such as Dakim® Brain Fitness, music therapy, pet therapy, and sensory stimulation to encourage independence and preserve dignity.

Residents live in our private, exit-controlled Memory Care Neighborhood, where they enjoy all the services and amenities of our community, with upgrades and special features that meet their individual needs. They live in private or companion apartments which are comfortable and inviting and include many safety features. Each apartment is equipped with state of the art motion sensors. When a motion sensor is activated, an alert is sent to the caregivers who can then respond, as needed. Special lights are also activated in and around the bathroom, which provide a guiding light at night.

About the Memory Care Program

We focus on activities in Memory Care to enhance general health, personal relationships, and communication skills. We concentrate on familiar abilities to avoid frustration at not being able to accomplish an activity. We laugh, smile and make eye contact. We give lots of positive encouragement. If a resident becomes anxious or upset, we take a break. Light exercise programs help residents maintain muscles and flexibility.

Respite Care

Grand Villa of DeLand offers a Respite Care program that gives family caregivers a break from the often stressful demands of home care. Our program ensures seniors receive compassionate care, mental stimulation, and social opportunities, while caregivers take time to rest or attend to other matters. Below are the programs we have designed to support families who are not ready for full time residency in a senior living community.

Short-Term Stay

Our Short-term Stay program helps families provide care for a loved one. This program is also ideal for seniors recuperating from a hospital stay. Short-term Stay residents enjoy all the amenities of our full time residents for a few days, a week, or a month. In addition to comfortable accommodations and a full activities calendar, Short-term Stay residents have access to Personal Care, housekeeping, laundry services and more.

Senior Day Program

Our Senior Day Program is an excellent way to reduce the stress on caregivers while seniors enjoy interesting, active days. Studies show that a tendency towards isolation and loneliness decrease when seniors are in an active and enjoyable adult day care program. Participants benefit from personal health services and social activities during the day, and then return home to familiar surroundings in the evening. This program is an affordable option that can help seniors live at home longer and prevent caregiver burnout.

Our Senior Day Program includes:

• Gentle exercise, art classes, bingo, musical entertainment, sensory stimulation, pet therapy, and much more
• Supervision of medications
• Delicious hot meals, plus snacks
• Comfortable resting accommodations
• Flexible, extended hours are 7am to 7pm, seven days a week including holidays
• Participants attend as often as desired
