Life Plan Community

As a Life Plan Community, our goal is to empower you to live the lifestyle you want, while making any care and assistance you need easily accessible within our community. Basically, Lions Gate is all about helping seniors live life to the fullest! Our independent residents enjoy a vibrant, inclusive community that boasts a full menu of social, recreational, and life-long learning programs, as well as services and amenities that include a fitness center, a pool, a restaurant-service dining room, an art studio, and so much more. Our on-site Wellness Center is staffed by a registered nurse, and residents can make appointments for all primary care services with a certified geriatrician in addition to our slate of specialty physicians.

Embedded within our Life Plan Community is a broad spectrum of medical and care services that evolve as the resident ages and their care needs change. Assisted Living at Lions Gate provides the extra support you need to stay active and in control of your own life. Our quality Assisted Living services and programs include full maintenance of your residence, amenities and personal care services to help you with the activities of your daily life, such as bathing, grooming or dressing.

While you receive some support to remain living independently, you remain close to everything – and everyone – that matters to you. And because Assisted Living at Lions Gate is part of a complete continuum of care, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation are also available if the need arises.

Unique to Lions Gate, a registered nurse manages our Assisted Living program and medication is only administered by licensed nurses – not medical technicians as is often the case elsewhere. As a true continuum of care, Lions Gate offers a distinct advantage.

Safe Haven Memory Care

Memory Care is for those who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia and need specialized care and support. Memory Care is designed to provide a structured environment with set routines to maximize engagement, decrease anxiety and increase comfort for people with memory loss. The Lions Gate Safe Haven Memory Care Neighborhood has been newly expanded to now feature 21 private resident apartments each with its own private bath.

Extensive Medical Resources on Site

While those with memory loss require guidance and structure in activities of daily living as well as help with cognitive and social engagement, caregivers can’t overlook the need for medical resources. While not all memory care communities have medical resources on site, Lions Gate has a robust slate of medical professionals available on campus.

Lions Gate is a Life Plan Community. That means the full continuum of care is available to all residents, including our memory care residents. Our Safe Haven care team includes a doctor, nurses, and aides. All Lions Gate residents have access to a full slate of doctors with office hours, including a gerontologist, dentist, psychiatrist, podiatrist, dermatologist, optometrist, and audiologist. If they need any type of rehabilitative therapy, our rehabilitative care team addresses all physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and respiratory therapy needs. Lions Gate also has a social worker on staff, and families can meet with her at any time to discuss the care their loved one receives here. We also hold vaccination clinics on site, administering Covid, flu, RSV, pneumonia, and shingles vaccines. Not many memory care communities have such an extensive medical team at their disposal.

Rehabilitation

The short-term advanced rehabilitation and recovery program at Lions Gate is delivered within our Health Center, designated as One of the Best Nursing Homes in the Country by the U.S. News & World Report. Our expert rehabilitation services promote the highest possible level of functioning through results-focused physical, occupational and speech therapies along with a variety of other treatments for those with various illnesses, injuries and other medical complexities.

Working closely with your own physician, our multidisciplinary care team will include therapists, physicians and a nursing staff who all work together in developing and executing an individualized plan of care. Rehabilitation services at Lions Gate provide a wellness-focused experience for patients in need of short-term therapy as well as orthopedic, cardiac, respiratory and neurological rehabilitation. Our individualized services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis and are designed to ensure patients enjoy vitality and energy when they return home.
