Rehabilitation for Complex Orthopedic Injuries

At NeuLife, the goal of our comprehensive complex orthopedic injury rehabilitation program is to apply effective therapies that facilitate a successful return to an active and independent life. Each orthopedic injury is different – that’s why our residential rehabilitation programs are designed to fit the specific needs of each patient individually. We are focused on helping patients rebuild the strength and skills necessary to return home.

Complex Orthopedic injury rehabilitation helps develop independent living skills by building strength and improving mobility.

We also provide proper care training and education for patients so they may properly care for their specific injuries. Our programs include collaboration with the patient’s family and/or caregivers to provide education and support for a safe return home.

Our inpatient Complex orthopedic injury rehabilitation focuses on mobilization, pain management, restoring function, and improving strength, endurance and flexibility. Our program includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, post-surgical care, a continuity of care from a dedicated treatment team and Community Integrated Rehabilitation for a seamless transition.

Supported Living Program

The Supported Living Program (SLP) at NeuLife Rehabilitation is dedicated to helping individuals who have experienced a brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other significant catastrophic injury or illness maintain stability in functional improvement and wellness.

Focusing on the quality of life and success over time, NeuLife offers supported living programs designed to provide patients with a safe, home-like setting with all the amenities of the community and the comforts of home where they can continue to build independent living skills in a secure environment supported by a team of rehabilitation professionals.

Recreational activities, leisure activities, and vocational or volunteer opportunities that are of interest to each patient are offered seven days a week.

The supported living program is centered around enriching the quality of life for patients with brain and other neurologic injuries through therapeutic activities combined with normalized community-integrated opportunities. We understand that every patient is unique – this mindset is the driving force behind our individualized approach to care.

The goal of the SLP is to provide each patient with the tools and opportunities to live a fulfilling and independent life with the support and guidance of clinical experts. These opportunities contribute to a greater sense of independence and quality of life for each patient.

We believe that individuals struggling to live independently as the result of a traumatic injury or other catastrophic diagnoses should be able to live an enjoyable and fulfilling life. Rehabilitation for Spinal Cord Injuries

Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation at NeuLife focuses on the delivery of a comprehensive, highly integrated, and intensive program of medical care, nursing, and therapy to address the complex needs of each patient. We provide the earliest possible start to rehabilitation and work to optimize the abilities and independence of our patients so that they may return home.

Our spinal cord injury rehab program includes clinical evaluations, medical care, and therapeutic activities customized to meet the goals, needs, and abilities of each patient. The comprehensive rehabilitation services are focused on helping patients recover activities of daily living (ADL) skills using compensatory strategies and mobility aids to achieve a seamless transition into the community.

Education and caregiver involvement are key components of the treatment plan. Caregivers are invited to actively participate in the rehabilitation process.
