Francois Bend is a beautiful, amenity-rich, 7.5 acre senior living campus. The campus is located in the heart of Gonzales, the largest town in Ascension Parish, one of the fastest growing parishes in the state. Located only 2.5 miles off of I-10, the campus is centrally located to acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, physician offices, churches, law enforcement, city government offices.

Francois Bend offers assistance to seniors who want to maintain independence but need extra support. All apartments are licensed for assisted living so residents can remain in the same apartment when more assistance is required. There are several levels of assistance with activities of daily living plus dedicated memory care.

The Francois Bend team believes that by offering nursing, in-house physical therapy and an in-house medication program, we are addressing the void that can exist between hospital-level care and nursing homes. We remain open to the personal preferences and needs of each resident and strive to provide a plan that best suits each person.

Francois Bend offers an abundance of amenities, including a 9,000 square foot social pavilion that houses a sun room, exercise/gym, chapel and activities/game room. Medication Management

Francois Bend’s Medication Management Program is serviced by licensed nurses, who are employed at Francois Bend. We are partnered with a local pharmacy to take care of all your prescription medication needs. From refills to administering to each resident door-to-door, there’s no easier or safer way to manage your medications.

In-House Therapy

We encourage our residents to maintain their strength and mobility. This is why we have designed an in house therapy program that offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Strength Training. These services are private sessions by a trained professional.

House Calls & Telehealth

We are partnered with a local physician who will come to you and provide services in the comfort of your own apartment. A telehealth visit is also an option for minor urgent care needs.

iN2L offers content-driven engagement to support social interaction, cognitive and physical exercise and therapy, education, reminiscing, areas of interest, memory support, and more with touch screen systems ideal for both group engagement and individual experiences.

TGI Live Music

Who doesn’t like live music? No matter your age, ability, or interests, music has a way of sparking wonderful feelings and memories for our residents. That is why we offer a live weekly music show for the community. It’s a way to start the weekend, unwind, dance, and enjoy some fun with friends and family!

Virtual Reality

Residents enjoy virtual reality (VR) activities under the guidance of Dr. Matthew Calamia, clinical neuropsychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University. VR experiences, such as viewing 360° travel videos (e.g., of locations like beaches or countries they had personally traveled to) and viewing specific locations using a VR version of Google Street View, promote reminiscence and positively affect the well-being of our seniors.

Transportation

Whether you like to regularly plan and schedule trips or just feel like getting out for a while, knowing you have someone else to deal with the driving provides peace of mind. Our weekly transportation service offers a comfortable handicapped accessible van or bus to doctor appointments, fun excursions, off-site dining, or shopping.
